Private Lessons
MCA offers private lesson instruction in voice, clarinet, saxophone, and piano for Semester I 2010. Additional string, woodwind, and brass instrument lessons available upon request. Students may enroll for five or ten 30-minute lessons.
Voice
These lessons are available to students in grades 5 to 12. Singers will work on breath support, intonation, tone, and artistic expression while singing a variety of classical songs, folksongs, and showtunes.

Piano
These lessons are available to students in grade 1 up to adults (beginning through advanced levels). Players will work on developing note reading skills, proper technique, and artistic expression while playing music selected from a wide variety of musical styles including classical, traditional, and popular.

Clarinet
These lessons are available to students in grade 5 up to adults (beginning through advanced levels). Students will learn the essential elements of music-making including breath support, embouchure, tone quality, articulation, technique and other elements of performance. Students will also study music theory, ear training, and music history through a varied curriculum. Once students have mastered these primary concepts, the focus shifts towards independent music-making, self evaluation and development of critical thinking skills while studying more challenging repertoire and advanced instrumental concepts. Students at all levels will learn meaningful and practical techniques to help them be successful.

Saxophone
These lessons are available to students in grades 5 to 10 (beginner and intermediate levels). Students will learn the essential elements of music-making including breath support, embouchure, tone quality, articulation, technique and other elements of performance. They will also study music theory, ear training, and music history through a varied curriculum. Students at all levels will learn meaningful and practical techniques to help them be successful.
