Overview
MCA's Theatre Division offers programming through summer day camps and academic year workshops. Curriculum includes classes in: acting, musical theatre, puppetry, technical theatre, stage combat, make-up, character development, playwriting, theatre games, and improvisation.

Summer 2011 Day Camp Offerings:
Theatre Camp I: Destination Imagination
This theatre day camp is for young people entering grades 2 - 5 in the fall. Students are led through a series of theatre games and exercises that are designed to encourage and develop their imagination. Music and movement will be incorporated as the students learn acting techniques for the stage. The week concludes with a performance showcase. Students are asked to bring a snack and re-sealable water bottle each day.

Theatre Camp II: Broadway Bound!
This theatre day camp is for young people entering grades 6 - 8 in the fall. Students will learn how actors bring unique characters to life using their voice, body and creativity. Students will learn improvisation, acting techniques for the stages and theatrical numbers from popular Broadway musicals. The week concludes with a performance showcase. Students are asked to bring a snack and re-sealable water bottle each day.
